…about Lionel’s first birthday party.

On June 8, we had family and friends over to our apartment in Vermillion for L’s first birthday party. It was a ton of fun!

L got so many gifts – lots of trucks, a slide, a trike, and money for his 529 college savings account – and he loved trying watermelon for the first time! He especially had a ball eating his lion smash cake :)

We served Jord’s famous homemade pizza, taco boats, fruit kabobs and chocolate-covered pretzels (with lemonade to drink!) for lunch, and everyone had red velvet cupcakes for dessert. It was delicious!

  • Yay L! Happy belated! Cake + cupcakes look delicious :) Love the photo display – never thought of doing in the shape of a 1 – great idea!
oh and watermelon is a hit over here! Z actually had it instead of birthday cake because he didn’t want anything to do with his cupcake!
