Guess what?! The Copywriter on Call podcast is officially BACK for season three! 🎙️
Copywriter on Call was designed to give you practical advice to uncover the brand voice that’s already within you, so you can infuse your creative business with your stories and the heart behind your work.
It’s for the business owner that’s ready to feel confident in showing up as yourself online, passionate about what you offer, and fearless in communicating your value.
When you show up as yourself in business, you feel good in your work, so you’re able to do good for your clients and for the world.
But with so many “must-have” tactics and strategies online, it isn’t always easy to shed the “shoulds” and express yourself wholeheartedly.
In both the solo and guest episodes that you’ll find on Copywriter on Call, my guests and I dropkick the tired ol’ strategies that everyone else is using and instead empower you to change the script to what makes you different, so you can show up online in a way that feels like, “That’s so me.”
In honor of welcoming season three, I thought it was only right to do a roundup blog post of all the amazing episodes we’ve had in the past! 🎉
So, if you’re looking for new podcasts to add to your queue, browse below and then snag the episode links to add to your “must-listen” list.
The word-magic that you deploy on your photography website is often what gets a buyer to choose you over someone else. ✨
As someone that works with photographers and female creatives on the regular to create word-magic for their photography website copy, I have a front-row seat to a lot of website copy mistakes.
In this episode, I’m sharing the five creative and photography website copy mistakes I see, so you can stop making them in favor of moving the needle on leveling up your copy and attracting your dreamiest clients.
When you tell stories that stick with your audience, you automatically move from selling the service to selling the experience, and THAT is what moves people into confident action. 💃🏻
Your potential clients are currently facing a problem in their life that they’re looking to address or solve, and your photography service might be that solution, but they can’t clearly see that when you only lead with what you get the deliverables.
In this episode, you’ll learn how to incorporate more storytelling into your photography services page and WHY it works!
Did you know there are four different types of buyers?! YEP, it’s true and they all need something different. 🤯
This is why it’s important that your photography website appeals to all four of these types of buyers, otherwise you’re missing out on booking a client.
As a photographer or another creative service provider, pretty images or great testimonials in a portfolio on your website just aren’t enough. You need the right copy that speaks specifically to their buying needs, too.
In this episode, you’ll learn about each buyer type and walk away knowing how to appeal to each of them in your marketing!
One of the most common pages that’s often overlooked on a website? The CONTACT page!
Your “Contact” page needs to be written strategically and all too often, I see a lot of clients who will just insert the generic contact form element, use a header with words like, “get in touch” or “say hello,” and call it a day.
That’s just not going to cut it. 🙅🏼♀️
While it might be enough to get your website off the ground, because, hello, we’ve all been there, it’s just not what I would suggest doing if you really want your website to work for you.
In this episode, you’ll learn how to optimize your “Contact” page as I really dig into why it matters so much for your clients.
We all learn a few tough and valuable lessons on the way to building a successful creative business, am I right?!
In this episode, I share three lessons that I learned that helped me become the successful creative entrepreneur I am today and my hope is that this episode inspires you to think a little differently about your work, about your purpose, and about yourself. 💛
As a creative entrepreneur, it may feel like your creativity flows naturally, except for when you’re needing ideas for emails to send.
If you ever get that blank page syndrome when thinking of what emails to send to your list, this episode will give you five prompts for emails that will get the creative juices flowing for you, PLUS simple templates you can follow for each. 💌
Choosing to outsource in your business or life can feel intimidating or even risky at times.
But I’ve got to tell you: some of the best things have happened in my business and in my life when I’ve stopped doing it all alone. 🙌🏼
If you’ve never outsourced either in your personal life or in your business, this episode gives a few clues that it might be time to consider asking for help and my hope is that it encourages you to consider what your life or your business could look like if you delegate tasks to the talented, capable people that are out there.
Website design goes hand-in-hand with your copy to make your sales page convert.
Your design communicates your personality, it can evoke emotion, and it’s what ensures your dream clients can easily read your copy and know how to work with you!
In this episode, Octavia Elease, a Showit Website Design Partner and HoneyBook Pro, joins me to talk through some of the design considerations for building a sales page that converts. 💸
